ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ร่มเย็น โกไศยกานนท์ รองอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง เป็นผู้แทนประเทศไทยเข้าร่วมเวทีระดับนานาชาติ Deep Dialogue London 2026 ระหว่างวันที่ 5–7 พฤษภาคม 2569 ณ กรุงลอนดอน สหราชอาณาจักร ภายใต้หัวข้อหลัก "Business as Unusual: Leadership in International Education Transformation"

การประชุมครั้งนี้จัดโดย British Council ร่วมกับ AdvanceHE และ Universities UK International โดยมีผู้นำและผู้บริหารสถาบันอุดมศึกษาจาก 23 ประเทศทั่วโลกเข้าร่วม เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองด้านภาวะผู้นำในการขับเคลื่อนความเป็นนานาชาติของสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ท่ามกลางบริบทโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว ทั้งจากความไม่แน่นอนทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ ผลกระทบของความขัดแย้งระหว่างประเทศ การเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ดิจิทัล และแรงกดดันด้านงบประมาณที่เพิ่มขึ้น

ภายในเวทีเสวนา ผู้เข้าร่วมได้ร่วมอภิปรายถึงแนวทางการปรับตัวของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในยุคแห่งความเปลี่ยนแปลง โดยเน้นว่า"การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่แท้จริงต้องเริ่มจากการทบทวนวิสัยทัศน์ขององค์กร และปรับกระบวนการทำงานให้มีความยืดหยุ่น พร้อมรับมือกับบริบทโลกที่ไม่หยุดนิ่ง"

ด้านผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ร่มเย็น ได้นำเสนอแนวทางของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงในการผลิตบัณฑิตที่มีคุณลักษณะของพลเมืองโลก (Global Citizenship) การส่งเสริมสุขภาวะ (Well-being) และการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนผ่านกระบวนการความเป็นนานาชาติ (Internationalisation) พร้อมทั้งได้เข้าร่วมเสวนาพิเศษในหัวข้อ "Re-imagining Women's Leadership in Higher Education" ร่วมกับผู้นำสตรีจากนานาประเทศ ได้แก่ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการของยูเครน และนักวิชาการจากอียิปต์ ยูเครน และ Swansea University

การเข้าร่วมเวทีระดับโลกครั้งนี้สะท้อนบทบาทของ มฟล. ในฐานะสถาบันอุดมศึกษาที่มุ่งขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือและการศึกษาในระดับสากล สอดคล้องกับพันธกิจของมหาวิทยาลัยในการพัฒนาผู้นำที่มีความยืดหยุ่น เปิดกว้าง และพร้อมร่วมกำหนดทิศทางการอุดมศึกษาโลกในยุคแห่งการเปลี่ยนแปลง

Assistant Professor Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University, represented Thailand at the global forum Deep Dialogue London 2026, held during 5–7 May 2026 in London. Convened under the theme “Business as Unusual: Leadership in International Education Transformation,” the event brought together distinguished leaders from 23 countries to exchange perspectives on the future of higher education.

Organised by the British Council in partnership with AdvanceHE and Universities UK International, the forum served as a platform for global dialogue on leadership strategies in the internationalisation of tertiary education. Participants explored how institutions can adapt to a rapidly changing landscape shaped by geopolitical uncertainties, the impacts of global conflicts, accelerating digital transformation, and increasing financial pressures amid evolving learner demands. Discussions emphasised that meaningful transformation requires revisiting institutional vision while ensuring that strategic operations remain flexible and adaptive in order to achieve genuine and lasting change.

During the forum, Assistant Professor Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont shared insights and experiences in advancing international education, particularly Mae Fah Luang University’s commitment to fostering global citizenship, promoting well-being, and advancing a sustainable future through internationalisation. She also participated in the panel discussion “Re-imagining Women’s Leadership in Higher Education,” alongside international leaders including a Minister of Education from Ukraine and distinguished female academics from Egypt, Ukraine, and Swansea University.

The event highlighted common challenges facing universities worldwide, including uncertainties arising from wars and geopolitical tensions, the rapid pace of digital transformation, and increasing financial pressures amid increasingly diverse and complex learner needs. It underscored the importance of adaptive, inclusive, and forward-looking leadership in navigating these challenges while shaping the future of international education
