นักศึกษาชมรมยูยิตสู มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง คว้า 7 เหรียญทองและ 1 เหรียญเงิน จากการแข่งขันยูยิตสูชิงชนะเลิศแห่งประเทศไทย ประจำปี 2569 ระหว่างวันที่ 3–5 เมษายน 2569 ณ ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัล แจ้งวัฒนะ (ฮอลล์) จังหวัดนนทบุรี สร้างชื่อเสียงให้แก่มหาวิทยาลัยในระดับชาติ

นักศึกษาที่คว้าเหรียญรางวัลในครั้งนี้ประกอบด้วย นายสุทิน หมื่อแลกู และนางสาวชุติมา สละ นักศึกษาสำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ รวมถึงนายตรัยคุณ จักรพล นักศึกษาสำนักวิชาศิลปศาสตร์ ต่างคว้าคนละ 2 เหรียญทอง ในประเภท Gi Newaza และ No-Gi รุ่นผู้ใหญ่อายุ 18 ปีขึ้นไป น้ำหนักไม่เกิน 62, 48 และ 69 กิโลกรัม ตามลำดับ ด้านนายกฤษฎา มั่นสัตย์ นักศึกษาสำนักวิชานวัตกรรมสังคม คว้า 1 เหรียญเงิน ประเภท Gi Newaza รุ่นผู้ใหญ่อายุ 18 ปีขึ้นไป น้ำหนักไม่เกิน 77 กิโลกรัม

ยูยิตสู เป็นกีฬาต่อสู้ที่เน้นการควบคุมและล็อกคู่ต่อสู้บนพื้น ไม่เน้นการต่อยตี แต่อาศัยเทคนิค การวางแผน และการอ่านสถานการณ์เฉพาะหน้า ถือเป็นกีฬาที่ฝึกทั้งร่างกายและทักษะการแก้ปัญหาควบคู่กัน

นอกจากความสำเร็จบนเวทีแข่งขัน กีฬายูยิตสูยังเสริมสร้างทักษะสำคัญให้แก่นักศึกษา ทั้งวินัย การจัดการเวลา ความอดทน และการรับมือกับความกดดัน ซึ่งล้วนเป็นคุณสมบัติที่ตลาดแรงงานให้ความสำคัญ

ผลงานของนักศึกษาทั้ง 4 คน เป็นส่วนหนึ่งจากการส่งเสริมให้นักศึกษาพัฒนาตนเองอย่างรอบด้าน ทั้งด้านวิชาการและศักยภาพส่วนบุคคล โดยชมรมยูยิตสูถือเป็นหนึ่งในชมรมกีฬาที่สร้างผลงานโดดเด่นในระดับประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่อง

MFU Ju-Jitsu Athletes Sweep 7 Gold, 1 Silver at National Championship

Students from the Mae Fah Luang University Ju-Jitsu Club claimed 7 gold medals and 1 silver medal at the 2026 Thailand Ju-Jitsu National Championship, held from April 3-5, 2026 at Central Chaengwattana Hall, Nonthaburi Province.

Three students led the medal haul. Mr. Suthin Muelaeku and Ms. Chutima Sala, both from the School of Health Sciences, and Mr. Trikun Jakrapol, from the School of Liberal Arts, each won two gold medals, competing in the Gi Newaza and No-Gi adult categories (18 years and above) in the under-62 kg, under-48 kg, and under-69 kg weight classes, respectively. Mr. Kitsada Mansad, from the School of Social Innovation, added a silver medal in the Gi Newaza adult under-77 kg category.

Ju-jitsu is a grappling-based martial art that emphasizes controlling and submitting opponents on the ground through technique, strategy, and situational awareness rather than striking. The sport develops both physical fitness and problem-solving skills.

Beyond competition, ju-jitsu cultivates qualities that the modern workforce values: discipline, time management, perseverance, and composure under pressure. The achievements of these four students reflect MFU's commitment to holistic student development — academically and personally — with the Ju-Jitsu Club continuing to stand out as one of the university's leading sports clubs at the national level.
